What kind of preaching will I hear at Faith Fellowship?
We preach the Word of God and the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ; that only through Jesus can a person be saved from their sins and that one must walk a holy and separated life unto Him. We teach how to overcome in our everyday life, how to build a strong marriage, strong family and ultimately a strong community.
When I pay my tithe and give an offering, where does the money go?
According to the Word of God, we are commanded to pay ten percent of our first fruits into the storehouse, which is the local church. We are also commanded to give offerings beyond the tithe and to give alms to the poor. In addition to supporting this ministry, these monies are also used to support several missions’ works, internationally, nationally, and locally.
Why do we pray for the sick by laying on of hands and anointing with oil?
“…let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the Name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith shall save the sick…” James 5:14-15
“…they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover…” Mark 16:18
Why do we praise him in the dance, shout and clap and lift our hands?
We are free to express our love for God corporately through praise and worship. We believe in praising the Lord as instructed in Psalms 150, “…Let everything that hath breath, praise the Lord…” This praise and worship is expressed through the lifting of the hands, clapping and singing, shouting and even dancing. “Oh clap your hands all ye people; shout unto God with a voice of triumph.” Psalms 47:1
The Book of Acts shows us how the church is supposed to be and that is to be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit and allowing Him to have His way in our services.
